There is always plenty to do in the Great Glen a 73 miles long  geological fault  from Fort William to Inverness intercontected by the Caledonian Canal.
The canal runs some 62 miles (100 km) from northeast to south west, only one third of the entire length is man-made, the rest being formed by Loch Dochfour, Loch NessLoch Oich, and Loch Lochy.1]  There are 29 locks (including eight at Neptune’s StaircaseBanavie), four aqueducts and 10 bridges in the course of the canal.
The Parallel Roads of Glen Roy, Scottish Highlands, represent a series of ice-dammed proglacial lake shorelines produced during the cold climate of the Younger Dryas  are well worth a visit.
Maybe you just want a stroll on some of the many miles of forestry roads, canal paths and right of ways, spotting some of the wonderful wildlife the highlands has to offer, Deer, Otters, Golden Eagles, Ospreys, Pine Martin and if you lucky the elusive Wild Boar.
Nevis Range is a year round mountain ski resort in the The Highlands of Scotland near Ben Nevis and Fort William. Skiing and snowboarding in winter it has a cable car to take you to the mountain restaurant and viewing area. Nevis Range is home to possibly one of the best down hill mountain bike tracks in the world.
